Established in 1990, In Achord is Boston University's oldest (OG if you will) co-ed acappella group. The group annually competes in a cappella tournaments around the nation, most notably, the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella. In 2016, In Achord won the ICCA Northeast Quarterfinal hosted at the Berklee College of Music then went on to place fourth at the Northeast Semifinal while getting the opportunity to sing on Boston Symphony Hall's stage.

In addition to being a competitive acappella group, In Achord also makes sure to have fun along the way. Among a plethora of gigs throughout the school year, the group's favorite gigs have been performing the National Anthem for the Red Sox at Fenway Park (and getting to meet James Taylor!), singing at weddings, and hosting our very own Beanpot of A Cappella every Spring.

The overall goal for In Achord is to be creative with our music while having a good time, emphasis on the good time. We pride ourselves on our diverse repertoire, singing anything from Sam Smith to Chance the Rapper to Pat Benatar to Stevie Wonder. Accompanying our set are complex and beautiful (in our opinion) arrangements that seek to put a new twist on some great songs. In Achord is a group of goofy and talented musicians who love to come together and perform!
